Men's Summer Fashion Trends

In this blog post, Olivia + Laura are sharing the hottest men's fashion trends this summer.

Yes, you read that correctly; Olivia + Laura are venturing into men's fashion! We've realized that some men do not know what to wear, and that's not alright. So, after years of dressing our fathers and friends, we are here to help boys become men and step up their fashion game.

If you're having trouble looking for summer clothes, check out stores like Zara, H&M, Jack&Jones, Simons, GAP and the Banana Republic. Stores like these specialize in men's fashion, and you'd be surprised at what you can find.

So, welcome, men! Stay a while.

Linen is so popular in summer months because of how lightweight and comfortable it is. A basic white linen button down is a staple in any closet, however you can level up your style game by wearing a fun and cute pattern. Linen was made for summer so make sure you get your hands on some linen tops or bottoms (or both)!

Matching Sets

Everyone needs a matching set in their closet this summer. This is your sign to get one! Whether it's loungewear like a matching sweatsuit or matching shorts and a jacket, your closet will thank you. They are very quick and easy to throw on for a night out and so easy to reuse the pieces to create so many more outfits. Don't be afraid to mix and match with other pieces from your closet!

Patterned Shirts

Summer is the season of patterns and colours! Get creative with your wardrobe this summer by wearing some funky patterns. Not only are they extremely stylish but you will be the star of the show in these shirts. Zara and H&M has some great styles and patterns that fit everyone's aesthetic. Channel your inner dad on a Hawaiian vacation with these fun printed shirts.

Bermuda Shorts

Bermuda shorts are a summer staple for men, but that doesn't mean they have to be boring. If you're looking for something comfortable, ditch the basketball shorts and try a structured sweatshort like this. Also, when shopping for Bermuda shorts, look for a 5-7 inch inseam short; They will fall above the knee and instantly make you look hot.

If you don't own a polo shirt, go out and get one. And while you're there, get a nice one that is not a wickable material that you would wear for golf. This season, Zara has a whole section devoted to Polo shirts with a wide selection to choose from. If you want to up your style game, try a linen polo or zip-up instead of a button-up.

Pastels are here, and we are here for them! The great thing about this trend is you could add pieces of colour into your wardrobe, with a cap or top. Or style outfits with head-to-toe pastels. There are some great options in the graphic above to mix and match with but if you're looking for a set, re-read that section in this blog post.

Thank you for reading this week's blog post! We hope you enjoyed it. Be sure to share this article with the men in your life, and let us know @oliviaandlaurablog if you want to see more men's fashion.

Goodbye for now!
