Your Next Date in Montreal

In this blog post, Olivia + Laura share the cutest ideas to help you plan your next date day or night in Montreal and its outskirts.

Dates can be hard to plan if you can't think of something to do! So we have got you covered with plenty of ideas for date day or nights in Montreal. With a variety of ideas to get you out of the house and exploring the city, these dates are sure to keep you entertained.

Also, date nights are made for friends too! So, don't neglect the other relationships in your life and take them on a date.

Fireworks Festival

The fireworks festival is coming to a close for the summer — catch them on Saturday for the last time before it's too late! Some of our favourite spots around Montreal to watch the LaRonde fireworks are anywhere in the Old Port (but specifically Clock Tower Beach), on top of Jacques Cartier Bridge and Au Pied du Courant.

Les Premiers Vendredis

As everyone in Montreal knows, this famous food truck festival happens every first Friday of the month (hence the name)! This Friday, August 5th, the food trucks will be at the Old Port of Montreal instead of their normal location at the Olympic Stadium. Don't miss out or you'll have to wait a whole month til the next one!

Drive In Movie

Nothing screams cheesy romance movie plot more than a drive-in movie theatre. The Ciné Parc Saint Eustache is home to 5 movie screens all showing different movies. Cozy up to a good movie in the comfort of your car all while being under the stars!

Disclaimer: Most of the movies are shown in French.

Beauce Carnival

No summer can be complete without a carnival. The Beauce Carnival has toured Quebec this summer and is coming to Brossard at the Champlain Mall on August 18. Win your significant other a prize or them on a ride on one many rides!

(P.S. This is a great way to hold their hand)

Atelier et Saveurs Class

Eating at restaurants is fun but try something new with your partner and take them to a cooking class in downtown Montreal or in the Old Port. Atelier et Saveurs offers a variety of cocktail and cooking classes and is a fun way to show off your skills or learn some new ones!

Check out the calendar of events to see the class that's right for you.

Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil is one of Quebec's biggest achievements (aside from Poutine) and the team of acrobats and artists are here this summer for their show Kooza. Olivia watched them live in Las Vegas and she can attest the show was spectacular and took the spectators breath away. They won't be here for long so definitely take a trip to the circus before it is too late.

International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

From August 13 to 21 the city of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu will be hosting its annual hot air ballon festival. In the daytime, hot air balloons will fill the sky, and at night a line up of stars like Charlotte Cardin and Jason Derulo will take the stage (along with illuminated hot air balloons). Overall, this festival is a must-visit and the perfect place to admire the hot air balloon and admire you're S/O.

Thank you for reading this week's blog post! Be sure to send this to your S/O (or your bestie!) to make planning your next date night 10x easier! Let us know on Instagram @oliviaandlaurablog if there's anything you'd like to see from us!

See you around Montreal!
