Black Friday is around the corner! This year, Black Friday falls on Friday, November 24. For our lovely friends in America, it’s always on the Friday after Thanksgiving. But for us Canadians, it’s a fun weekend filled with shopping both online and in-store, for some seriously good deals.
So whether you're shopping for yourself or getting a head start on holiday shopping, these are the sales to look out for! It's easy to get lost in a sea of promotional emails or sucked into buying things you might not need, which is why I've compiled a list to simply the shopping experience this year and the do-and-don'ts of Black Friday shopping.
The Do's
Start your holiday shopping! Many stores extend their return dates starting on Black Friday to after the holidays.
Browse beforehand! If you know what you want beforehand, you won't unnecessarily spend and it'll save you so much time at checkout.
Avoid the mall! Unless you need something ASAP, stick to online shopping! Most stores will be offering free shipping as a promotion.
Become an email subscriber! By subscribing to your favourite stores, you'll likely get first pick at the sales for Black Friday.
The Dont's
Don't buy just because! Unless you really want or need something, there's no need to make any unnecessary purchases. Don't forget, they'll be sales after the holidays too!
Don't be a bad shopper! Retail workers are working especially hard during Black Friday so be respectful and don't throw items on the floor.
The Sales
Frank and Oak — Currently 30% off from November 22 to November 26!
Indigo — From November 20 to 26, 30% off the best books of the season!
Mejuri — 20% off of purchases of $150 starting November 20, with advanced access for Mejuri+ members. One of Mejuri's only sales all year!
Amazon — Score great deals on sweaters, the best leggings and winter coats. Take up to 80% off regular retail prices now through December 1.
Zara — Typically up to 40% off select items. Shop the sale a full hour earlier through the app!
H&M — Starting on Black Friday through the weekend until Cyber Monday, expect 20% off everything!
Abercrombie — Based on last year's sale, expect 40% off select items! Popular items might not be discounted.
Dynamite — Another assumption, but inside sources tell us 30% off almost everything starting Black Friday!
Monos Travel — Currently up to 30% off items for early Black Friday!
