We have been counting down the days until Spring since Winter started, and it finally has arrived! The birds are chirping, the sky is blue, and the snow is melting away along with our seasonal depression. The only thing we need to make Spring official is to introduce these S/S 2022 trends into our wardrobes!
There are a few wild ones this season but we are ready to ditch the cozy fur coats for the HOT pink sets (and way more). Adieu, Winter!
Here are our top picks in Spring 2022 fashion...
Spring/Summer 2022 Pantone:
Bright Colours
THE trend of the season is bright colours! Everyone will be wearing hot pink, orange, lime green and muted purple (or variation of these colours) this season and we are so excited for this to hit the street-style runways. Keep an eye out, these colours will be incorporated into each of the spring trends!
Color blocking is especially prevalent this year and bloggers all over are matching pink+orange, purple+green, green + pink -- well, you get it! Mixing and matching is fun and, we are naming this the hottest thing to come out of 2022.
Sequin Mesh
If you're living in Montreal (or anywhere with newly lifted Covid restrictions), then you are ready for the dinner dates, and bar/club events. 70s Floral
Yep, 70s floral, the same pattern as your grandmother's vintage couch. We definitely weren't expecting this trend but, it makes sense since all good things come back in style. Zara is killing this trend at the moment, so run to your nearest store (cause we aren't paying $2.95 for shipping) and follow this trend!
Platform Heels
The most popular footwear trend of S/S 22 is the break-your-ankle platform heels. These shoes will have you feeling like you’re strutting on a runway. If heels aren’t your thing (we get it), platform sneakers or sandals are just as trendy — they’ll never go out of fashion!
But beware, these shoes were NOT made for walking.
Plissé Pleat Sets
These plissé (or micro) pleat sets have taken over our IGs. Headed for a beach vacation? You’ll want to get your hands on one of these pleated sets before. Perfectly flowy for that post-beach look while still looking so chic.
Cut-Outs
This trend has lived to see another season! For S/S 22, we’re expecting these cut out items to take on the bright colours trend with a more beauty/vacay vibe. Zara has a range of pieces in their newest collection, from dresses to tops!
The Trend You'll NEVER See Us Wearing:
Low-Rise Anything
We are Y2K babbies, but we refuse to follow this Y2K trend. After wearing high-waisted everything for the past few years, we don't think we can ever go back to having our belly out. Bella Hadid & Emily Ratajkowski are rocking this trend, but, we're going to skip on this one. This goes to show, that even if something is in style, you don't have to follow it if it isn't for you.
(Plus who wants their butt cracks showing when they sit down? FR!)
