Our Favourite Bowl Recipes
In this blog post, Olivia + Laura share with you some of their favorite one-bowl meals that you can make for breakfast or lunch. Read on to discover these mouth-watering BBB'S (bad bi*ch bowls).

Olivia + Laura work smarter not harder. That is why we love the one-bowl meal. Not only are they easy to make, but clean-up is minimal and, they are filled with nutrients to keep us going throughout the day. Not to mention that you don't need to follow a recipe to make them. Just throw together in a big bowl a protein, a starch, some veggies, and a dressing and, you to can become chef Ramsay.
Looking for some ideas of foods to put into your bowl, choose some items off the menu we created just for you.

Now, if you are someone who doesn't like to freestyle their bowls, you can always rely on these tried and trusted recipes from Pinterest.
Mediterranean Bowl
This super yummy bowl is made of arugula, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, quinoa, hummus, and a bunch of other nutrient-filled foods. The best part of this bowl is that you can make several over the weekend and eat them for lunch during the week.

Vegetarian Burrito Bowl
In our opinion, nothing is more appealing than Mexican food. The spices are so flavourful, and whatever you are eating will always leave you wanting more. So, why not make a burrito bowl! We have mentioned something similar to this bowl in an older post, but this one is vegetarian. This meal has all the burrito essentials like black beans, guacamole and, corn served over some rice. Pair this with the creamy chipotle sauce (which you can find the recipe for in this same post) and, you have the perfect lunch or dinner.

Egg Roll in a Bowl
This low carb, keto-friendly bowl is so delicious and so easy to make! It comes together in just 15 minutes, perfect for those days when you're in a rush or on the go (to your next zoom meeting). You can customize the recipe to your liking. Laura replaces the sausage with turkey minced meat and adds Sriracha for some heat. This recipe makes several servings so store the rest in your fridge for lunch again tomorrow - it's that good! Obviously it's a bowl recipe but try it in a lettuce wrap and you'll be surprised!
Quinoa Bowls
You can never go wrong with a quinoa bowl! There are so many different combinations for these bowls - the possibilities are endless. Make your quinoa at the beginning of the week to help with meal prep. Add vegetables and a protein of your choice to make it to your liking! We are currently loving the Mediterranean Bowl but we will be definitely trying more of these!

Greek Salad Vinaigrette

We have to give credit to Ms. Emma Leger for the delicious greek salad dressing.
If you love the taste of garlic (like us), then you will love this mix.
All the ingredients are listed in the graphic and if you are an avid Olivia + Laura reader then you will have seen this recipe in our Quick and Easy Lunches post.
Chipotle Sauce (w/ the Burrito Bowl)
This sauce was created by Berly's Kitchen for the Burrito Bowl pictured above. However, you can put this on almost anything, and it could serve even as a dipping sauce for veggies or in a wrap.
Here is the recipe...
1/2 Cup Sour Cream, (or mayo)
2 Teaspoons Lime Juice, (fresh squeezed)
1 Teaspoon Chipotle Paste
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/8 Teaspoon Chili Powder

Mix all together & store in your refrigerator for up to 3 days!
