Montreal Terrasses to Hit Up This Summer

In this blog post, Olivia + Laura share with you the Montreal terrasses you need to visit this summer.

For those of you who do not know, terrasse translates to the word patio in English. And in Montreal, we are terrace enthusiasts.

Therefore, with the reopening of them this weekend, we are recommending to you some of the best in our city. Read on to see our picks and check out this interactive map to help you pick this summer's outings.

Perché

Located on the 4th floor of hotel William-Gray, this terrasse resembles an oasis with its green and white decor. It is the perfect spot to chill with friends and overlook the old port of Montreal. This terrace is home to one of our best summer memories, and you should definitely give it a try!

Terrasse Nelligan

If you are from Montreal, you have been to or heard of Terrasse Neligan. It is the ultimate summer spot that serves brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is lively and, be sure to take a picture of the view for your Instagram before you leave.

Terrasse Place D'Armes

This terrasse overlooks Place D'Armes square and is one of the best spots to watch the sunset in Old Montreal. This a great spot to hang out during a 5 à 7 and you will definitely want to stay past 7 o'clock and revisit many times this summer.

Terrasse William Gray

Like Perché, Terrasse William-Gray is located in the William-Gray hotel (on the 8th floor). This chic patio offers a wide variety of food and drinks and is always packed on summer nights. However, the atmosphere and drinks are worth the wait!

Terrasse sur L'Auberge

When you visit Terrasse sur L’Auberge in the Old Port of Montreal you will feel transported to France. This rooftop bar has a rustic modern feel and is on everyone’s list this summer.

Also the best place to watch fireworks this summer.

Terrasse Bonsecours

Where do we even start? Terrasse Bonsecours is party central of the Old Port of Montreal each summer. It has more of a club atmosphere and that is fitting because the music is always amazing and pairs well with the drinks and food they serve.

Additionally, every Saturday and Sunday they organize a Boozy Brunch. This is essentially daytime clubbing, but with new restrictions as they are following Quebec‘s COVID-19 regulations.

Les Enfants Terribles (Place Ville Marie)

The Place Ville Marie location of Les Enfants Terribles is another stunning terrasse located in Downtown Montreal. Their terrace is a lookout onto the busy city and twinkling nights of Montreal. As this is a restaurant, there is a larger menu of food and drinks. But it is also a great spot for drinks and appetizers with the girls.

AIR Rooftop Terrace

Like most popular Montreal terrasses AIR is a rooftop patio located on the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Montreal. AIR offers an assortment of bistro-style foods and an even longer list of cocktails, spirits and wines.
