Although Hot Girl Summer did not go as planned, Summer 2020 still had much to offer. Here are some favorites that made it that much better!

Fashion Fave: Summer Dresses
Even though we are all social distancing doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate special events with stylish summer dresses. I fell in love with so many dresses this summer, but these two have my heart. The first is this Printed Smocked Dress from Dynamite that accentuates my curves while hiding those not-so pleasant lumps. Not only can the dress be paired with sneakers or some heels, but it is also on sale right now!
After a long search for a birthday dress, this one of a kind Gathered Bust Slip Dress from Topshop landed on my Instagram feed and I knew I had to have it. This dress shows just the right amount of skin, with a bustier top and mini skirt feel, and is perfect for a night out—or in my case a backyard barbecue. Most important, this dress is super affordable and is currently on clearance on the Topshop website.
Skincare Fave: The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum
Products from The Ordinary have been blowing up on TikTok recently and I had to discover what the hype was all about; so, I purchased this miracle serum. The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum is worth all the praise it is getting as it visibly reduces blemishes and prevents pesky breakouts. What is most noteworthy about this serum is that it can be purchased for only $5.90 on Sephora. Also, The Ordinary has a whole line of affordable skincare products. The only catch; the products are foreign to most unless you’re a skincare buff. Fortunately, the DECIEM website, where you can also purchase the Niacinamide serum, has online representatives to match you with the right products for your skincare needs. Honestly, at this price, all The Ordinary products are worth a try!
Montreal Fave: Cafe Olimpico (Old Port Location)
If you’re from Montreal, you have certainly been to Café Olimpico in the Old-Port of Montreal. Located beside a picturesque alley and the well-known Hotel William Grey, this quaint café is the perfect spot to pick up a coffee-to-go, or a signature drink named Remix (try it and thank me later). So, whenever in the Old-Port be sure to stop by, have a coffee, and say hello to their super friendly staff.

Fashion Fave: Layered Necklaces
Take any basic summer outfit to the next level with some gold layered necklaces. Layered necklaces are the perfect way to accessorize any outfit. I especially love this set of necklaces from Amazon. Not only are they amazing to layer but they also have their own clasps for days when you want to wear just one or two! Throw on some denim shorts, a white tank, and these layered necklaces for the cutest day outfit.
Another Fashion Fave: Low-Top Platform Converse
A staple in anyone's closet is a pair of white sneakers for summer. If you're short like me, platform sneakers are a MUST (just to add some height LOL). Compared to other white sneakers such as the Fila Disruptors or Adidas Stan Smiths, these low-top white Converse sneakers are reasonably priced at $75. I have been wearing them all summer long and they are also so comfortable! They are such a versatile piece that could easily be styled with almost every outfit. Be sure to grab a pair before summer is over!
Montreal Fave: Ca Lem (NDG Location)
If you're from Montreal and you have not been to Ca Lem yet, you are missing out. With a new soft serve swirl cone every week, you get a taste of every flavor and will never get bored. Along with the original location in NDG, they have now opened location in Le Plateau and Downtown. They have the cutest PFG Camper Van parked in the front, which makes for the cutest background for your ice cream pics. Perfect place to snap a pic before you take a lick!
