The cold weather brings the constant battle of looking cute and staying warm. Tie that along with finding the perfect cold-weather necessities, and it can be stressful to find an outfit.

Jackets
Puffer Coats
The puffer coat was the must-have jacket last winter, and like all great things, it is making a comeback this year!
Here are some of our faveorites...
Aritzia Super Puff: Everyone knows about the Aritzia Super-Puff! It is so stylish and makes you feel as though you are being hugged by a marshmallow, which keeps you warm all winter long. This jacket comes in a multitude of colors and several styles including the Original, the Shorty, the Mid, and the Long.
This jacket retails between $225 to $350 and although they are stunning, this is not a practical option for all of us.
Zara Dupe: Good thing Zara offers this dupe for a fraction of the cost!
Leather Puffer Coat: Just because it is cold out, doesn't me we have to compromise on style! It just means that we have to rethink fashion and we are doing this with faux leather puffer jackets (yes, let that sink in)
We have this one from the Gap that retails at $198. The fun thing with GAP is that there is always a sale going on, like even right now!
A more affordable option is this bomber from Simons at only 80$
Colored Puffers: We love black because it pairs well with everything but we also love adding some color to our lives. Try doing that by getting a winter coat in a bright color!
For the people who want to only slightly step our of their comfort zone, here is a beautiful and timeless long puffer jacket from Zara.
If you're looking for something bold, this puffer from H&M is the perfect option. At only 70$, this piece can be styled every day or on occasion (your choice) but, you will certainly be the center of attention wearing it.
Long Trench Coats
The long trench coat has been all the rave this season, appearing all over my Instagram feed as seen with @londonblogger. Adding a coat like this to your outfit will make it appear more chic instantly -- even when paired with joggers!
To recreate this look, we've found this wool, oversized coat from Zara. Not only is it stylish enough to wear all season, but the thick material makes that possible too! This jacket retails for 99$ and comes in two other colors, including beige and grey.
Teddy Coats
The teddy coat is the most comfortable jacket you will buy all season! It's called the teddy coat for a reason, and that's because it looks like you're a big (stylish) teddy bear. The coat pictured below is from H&M selling for 99$-- but wait for the weekend sale before buying! There is always a sale going on.
Here we see that @amybethvd has styled her all-black ensemble with a Zara double-faced overshirt retailing for 99$. This jacket is perfect for those transitioning months, and it can be layered with a thicker shirt for extra warmth on colder days.
Vests
Sweater vests are the new hot topic in A/W fashion, as seen in a previous blog post (check it out here). So winter vests are the outdoor equivalent of that. They are the perfect laying piece, and with the cold weather, we need a lot of layers!
We can see @gerogialouisecooper rocking this beige vest from H&M on top of some light denim and paired with a beenie. This puffer is perfect because it will keep you warm, and it comes in a color other than black!
Another look to copy is @mykenna's! She has styled her vest with a bright-colored hat and DocMarteens. You can recreate this look with this padded vest from Zara and other garments that will be shown later in the blog.
Boots
Combat Boots
These boots are perfect for keeping your feet warm this winter while also looking so chic! We suggest styling boots with a thick fuzzy sock or some cute Nike gym socks for a more street style look.
Booties
Every girl needs a staple bootie to dress up an outfit and these are it! These booties an be worn with almost everything and are seriously so stylish. It is important that we mention that these do not replace winter boots though sometimes we brave the cold for that cute outfit ;)
We love a good shoefie (shoe selfie, if you are unfamiliar). Here is a picture of the H&M booties styled on Olivia, we are so obsessed with them!
Lug Sole
Lug sole boots have been such a trend these past few years and we are here for it! We have found a ton of dupes for more designer pieces that are just as stunning. These are another closet staple for the winter months, they can be worn so many different ways! Click the pictures to shop the links!
Slipper Style Boots
We all know and love the iconic Ugg slipper style boots. They are perfect for those cold winter days/nights to keep your toes toasty. However, we understand that they come with a price so we found a dupe at H&M! They also come in the same colours as the Ugg boots.
Cozy Extras
Hats
This is a literal must-have accessory for winter -- especially if you live in a colder city like we do! These are so stylish and are guaranteed to keep you warm. Perfect for covering up those bad hair days ;). Here is some inspo for beanies and hats!
Ear Muffs
A perfect piece for when you want to keep your hair in a bun or a pony while also keeping your ears warm.
Scarves
These are our go-to in winter whenever we go out. Oversized, long scarves are our favourite kind. They pair perfectly with longline coats or puffers!
Gloves
For those days when it is so cold that you cannot feel your fingers, gloves are a must. These mittens from Aritizia are $12 and come in so many different colours! Grab a pair before they're gone!
